Sorry to keep you all in suspense like that. I'm sure it was torturous.
My big news? Well, if you didn't happen to know who that was in the picture on the last post, let me fill you in. That was Dan's Dad - AKA Grandpa J. And the big news? Well, he's here in Tennessee! And the even bigger news? He's staying! And even bigger news than that? Grandma (AKA Mom) is moving here, too! MOVING!!!!!! From California to Tennessee!!!!
If you can't tell from all of my exclamation points, we're rather excited :-)
Long story short, Dennis accepted a promotion within the company he's been with for several years now, which landed him a job in a smaller town just outside of Nashville. Can you even BELIEVE it?? So he arrived late last week and began work yesterday. Karee is still at home in Cali, seeing Amanda off to France (crazy kid), and wrapping things up with her job, house, friends, life...before she joins Dennis here in a couple months. If you think of them, would you please pray that God would clearly direct them in this crazy, hectic time apart? They have some big decisions to make, lots to do, and a LOT of miles between them.
So there you have it...for the first time in our married lives, we're going to have family living in the same state! Less than an hour away. CRAZINESS. Really, really great craziness.

I truly am happy for you and for them! And I truly am so jealous I can hardly stand it!!!! They say honesty is the best policy. So there you have it.

I KNEW IT!!! I had heard he was in TN and figured things would work out this way. SO happy for you guys to have grandparents so close. That's part of the reason we moved to LA to be near Liz and Gregg when they start having kids. She's still finishing her master's. 2 semesters left. WHEW!!!! Then who knows? Congratulations and say hi to Karee and Dennis for us.
