The results are in! And while your poll was fun and all, it was a little less than overwhelming this time - when I checked yesterday the vote was a dead even 50/50 split. So thanks for the help, but I think I'll go with the ultrasound :)

Come August, Caroline will welcome a baby SISTER!!! That's right - we're having another girl! Dan & I are simply thrilled. To be honest, I was having a hard time even picturing myself with a son. Not that I wouldn't love to have one someday, but for now I am revelling in the thought of holding another precious bundle of pink. I love picturing two curly-headed girls running around my house (assuming my children will someday have hair), sharing secrets and clothes and occasionally driving each other crazy. For some reason that's pretty easy for me to imagine :-) There's nothing better than sisters, whether you're 2 or 22 or 62. I hope Caroline and Baby J #2 agree!

I am thrilled!! I see those little heads already, and they have hair. They also have southern accents!!

I hope they eventually have the same sized feet...because that is something we were always missing out on that could have made our relationship that much sweeter :)
Also, if I knew all the lyrics to the "sister song" I would post them. but I don't. But I'm sure you do.

I'm just sad that those girls have to put up with Dan as a dad.
"Ok, now you go grab the ladder while I put as many pillows as I can in the yard. We'll jump off the roof into them. It'll be so fun!!" "I don't know dad," Caroline says while holding her little sister, "It looks a little dangerous." "Naaa, WATCH."
Caroline hurries inside shouting, "Mommy!" "What?" "You know how Daddy's arm usually does this? Yeah, it's not doing that anymore."
Yay! I am so happy Caroline will have a sister... they are so wonderful. And it really is QUITE nice being able to use all those mounds and mounds of clothes a second time. :-)
Glad Dan is excited as well. I think Trav was "bummed" for about an hour after the ultrasound, but after that, he was right on board and super happy to meet our second little girl. Such a treat.

All I can do is second your Dad's sentiments - the only thing better than a little girl, is TWO little girls. I love her already.
